Through the open window
A light crawls in
Coming near, it talks to me
“How we’ve gone so bleak”
I stare it in dismay
Yet deeply I think
Has the world gone mad
Or am I ill
But then I look out
I see darkness in light

But people are too preoccupied
I heave a sigh of relief
The world hasn’t ended
The light moans, “What a shame,

The food we eat
Is the truth gone stale
Yeah, we’re all fucked up
But still we endure
When is the limit
To stop asking for more

A mother waits desperately
For a boy that’d never return
While someone writes a story
For a few money to earn
Deep inside his skin
Someone writhes in pain
Somewhere an addicted

Oh, what have we dreamed
And what has been done
For a few pieces of gold
We’ve sold our loved ones
But now, let the truth shine
And evil take a pause
Let us forge & devise
The world that never was

The inhumanness of reality
“There’s no better place
Than Earth”, the light speaks
Then it fades away
In to oblivion, wailing
“All that is and
